Did the real tourist things today. The Museum of Country music http://www.countrymusichalloffame.com/site/ was actually very interesting. It was born out of English folk music of the early settlers which evolved with influences of Africa and France.

The Grand Ole Oprey http://www.opry.com/ was a different matter all together. Its actually a live 2 hour radio show. In fact its the longest running live radio show in the world. Broadcast 3 times a week it showcases old performers and new. Most of the audience knew all the songs and sang along when invited. Its a bit strange though. The way the announcer managed the show and the read out advertisements sounded really 50's. For those that enjoy it I thinks its a nostalgia thing. Or perhaps not. Lots of happy, clappy, family, christian values stuff. Perhaps here its not out of place...
