200 miles down the Parkway before stopping on the outskirts of Asheville. A lovely warm day and a great ride. On top quite cool and very warm down in the lower country.
Took Roci into town and walked into the first bar after I found somewhere to park. There I met Mark and his wife; both bikers visiting family in Asheville. Everyone I talk to I ask where they recommend I go so I now have a plan for tomorrow! Going to follow the "Dragon" through the mountains (as opposed to chasing the dragon which is likely to get me arrested). Its a famous biking route and sounds like a lot of fun if I can keep poor agricultural Roci out of the way of the sports bikes.
Needs to be done tomorrow as the forecast is looking terrible Monday. North there are blizzards and road closures which apparently is extraordinary. Just have to keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't interfere with my plans for Nashville... Also hope I can get out of the mountains by the end of day as there is a chance of snow there Monday too.
