Austin (the other one, not in Texas)

A stop for lunch in the middle of the desert. Oatman has a similar look to Austin, but Oatman has been turned into a cutesie tourist destination (see Travels with Roci). Great efforts have been made to keep it looking like a wild west town. Austin by contrast looks like it has been abandoned to decay since the mines shut. The motels are the old fashioned row of boxes, all looking really run down.

Great lunch though in the International restaurant and bar. Burgers to kill for and not a bit of horse. The chips looked like they had been made from bits of saddle but were surprisingly good.

Over to Rachael...

Lunch was massive as all food is here but I am now viewing meals as a challenge and as my padded biking jeans are slightly too big I am eating to fill them. It's starting to work. Was a funny little town and lovely to see!!
