Picked up the Electraglide yesterday. Bit of a beast. 1700cc of hot American metal. Great cruising but it's like wrestling with a monster at slow speed.
Over the Golden Gate bridge and made it to Placerville via the Napa Valley. 167 miles of heat through very beautiful countryside. To get some miles behind us we took the interstate for about 80 miles. Good I hate the freeway on a bike.
Heading for the Sierra Nevada today for lunch at South Lake Tahoe then down the other side for the start of the longest road.

Well news from me is that I spent much of yesterday watching bad drivers in a hyper alert type way. Things observed. . . Much texting whilst driving, woman driving whilst beating her kids in back seat,, woman driving with dog on lap and the crazy old lady who almost wiped out two of our three bikes by paying no attention so I was exhausted when finished. My backside is killing so off to buy a bum buddy(?) To help. Was a good starting day but excited to do more scenic stuff today!!
Best of all is the food whilst I may come back and just have a fat induced heart attack who cares when breakfast comes on two massive plates!!!! Woo hoo and guess what it's almost time for breakfast!! Must dash xx
