Fabulous run up the mountain through beautiful woodland to South Lake Tahoe. Stopped briefly for coffee in Heidi's 'the best breakfast in town for 6 years in a row'. The rest of us had a coffee but this is what Rachael chose as a mid morning snack. 6 pancakes with butter and Apple sauce. Note the nod to a healthy meal in the form of a slice of melon.....

The pine woodland drive gave me a bit of an appetite so the pancakes were essential. The views of the lake were amazing the lake is the most beautiful blue,, the scent of pine is everywhere and the pine cones on the ground were as big as your head. Amazing!!! Then on we went to Carson city where the Harley dealership came up with the goods and sold us a seat pad for the plight which is my backside. It may have cost us half of my monthly salary but what price to stop more whingeing!! Any way it works cause the next 60 miles to Fallon were much more comfy!!! X
